Not wanting to maintain a multi-language repo, and not wanting to maintain support for rust integration
Edit: I kinda assumed the guy in the pic was that kernel maintainer who kept throwing a stink about Rust code, but it’s apparently not

But it doesn’t have any built-in concept of users, write permissions, or authentication (except for commit signing)
Hosting an unauthenticated git repo would be the equivalent to an open ssh port with no password required
Not to mention collaborative things like issue tracking, PRs, forums, etc

I wonder if it’d be feasible to make a fediverse github

IIRC, kernel level anti cheat works for linux. It’s at the company’s discretion if they enable support for Linux clients

Imo, it’s nice to see tools written in a memory safe systems language
Especially if you use a lot of them. More utility, less attack surface
Being the kid sucks worse
You’re dragged around the store as a living mannequin, while simultaneously being bored out of your mind
Sew your own
There’s a ton of tutorials on YT, and a basic sewing machine is like $80
(Not to say that women’s pants shouldn’t have decent pockets, just that you’re not forced to deal with them)

Yes, that poison
It can be useful if you want a different desktop layout for different use cases
I set up a Personal activity, and a Work activity, with different backgrounds and different apps pinned to the taskbar. That helps maintain a “virtual” separation of work and personal life, and helps me not screw off on discord as much
Well, it would if i actually used it
Activities let you change the desktop layout, panels, wallpapers, etc.
Virtual desktops keep the desktop settings

I still stand by my assumption that anyone complaining about systemd has never tried to configure SysVInit scripts before
I just use a cat piller
It’s a little plastic syringe with a silicone tip. Load the pill into the tip, gently grab their scruff and tilt their head back
Put the piller in their mouth, and pop the pill. Works really well
I have done this
I had my license maybe a year, and i had gotten lost downtown at night.
I came to a T intersection, with a one way road, but couldn’t figure out which direction to go. I panicked and picked a direction
I only realized when i saw a row of headlights heading my way
Buggies? Or just “furries”
There are a surprising number of moth and bee 'sonas, but the terms aren’t well defined
Can confirm, “scalies”
For birds it’s “avian”
I run Arch, so docker was the easiest method of installation.
Rather than try and figure out how to install a .deb manually (and lose package manager perks)
Vscode and dotnet core (5+) work well on linux
You can also run SQL Server via docker
The technology behind the registry is fine (which is what I think @VinesNFluff meant)
But it’s execution in Windows was ass
In theory, a configuration manager with DB-like abilities (to maintain relationships, schematic integrity, and to abstract the file storage details), isn’t a bad idea
But the registry as it is today is pure pain
Something about this composition is giving AI, but the line art says hand made…
Traced AI art, perhaps?
