  • I’d thicken the bottom, and then have the interface have some pegs/holes to fit together like a puzzle. If you’re printing in that orientation the pegs should be unlikely to shear off. Then, lots of super glue and sand it down. As others have said, a lip underneath the interface would give you more surface for super glue as well.

Because it’s going in your fridge, there will be inevitable spills that need cleaning. So I’d want to minimize the seam and complexity on the interior of the container.

  • No, I was just trying to drag out of you how you see the incident without priming the pump. How does one minimize the killing of hundreds of unarmed students? I knew people like you existed, I just never had the opportunity to witness someone actually do it, and I was curious how it’s done.

You roll 20 additional days into it as a buffer, and count injuries as equivalent to murders, and let them happen anywhere.

It can’t be the “Tiananmen Square Massacre” for you because then couldn’t draw in PLA members who had heart attacks and died elsewhere that day because they weren’t at the square. You need to create a context where they’re all the same thing and the geography of place really damages the ability to do that.

You just dilute a massacre to make it not a massacre by expanding the time and places. Super interesting. It’s a distinctly different approach to propegands than you’d typically see in the west or Russia.

  • It will be interesting to see how a distributed system solves this problem.

The issue really comes down to the infrastructure costs. The fediverse is by design significantly less efficient with hardware than a centralized system. It isn’t that it’s difficult to scale, it’s just that it’s expensive to scale. And since the hardware is maintained by generosity of donation…

This is offset by the higher interest in volunteer labour, though.

I think the “solution” is just to accept that instances will burst in and out of existence (and favour) based on time and generosity.
