Flippers is not on offense, 3 second rule does not apply.
I actually looked this up. NBA has a defensive 3 second violation of you’re in the paint and not guarding someone. Flippers isn’t guarding someone, and it looks like he can’t move so fast out of the water. So he would get a technical if the guard could just hold up for 3 seconds instead of shooting.
Ah, I never played in the NBA. They don’t have that rule in Olympic basketball.
