Yeah, it’s a trade off. I decided to buy as I don’t need to move around much, and I vastly prefer fixing stuff myself rather than paying for someone to do it for me. (When other people fix shit, it’s either expensive or sub-par)
I’m similar, my only rule is I don’t work on gas or complicated electricity. Too risky, bring in a pro.
