I’m not entirely convinced that Google and Microsoft are Elrond in this particular issue … or that uBlock Origin is the one ring … it feels like this meme is something Sauron would push to make people think the good guys are bad guys …
Every story has two sides, and unfortunately the victor often writes the first history. However I do encourage reading the real LOTR story as told in the last ringbearer.

Indeed.
Make the ring ManifestV3, then it makes sense.
You’d probably also need to make Firefox Elrond and Isildur google, Microsoft can be some random orc or something …

Is this to LOTR as Wicked (not the stupid musical) is to Wizard of Oz?
Given that the author is a Kirill Yeskov, I think it’s safe to say that it’s fanfic, yes. Akin to Paradise Lost being the real story of the Bibble.
Fanfic is fine provided it’s written well. I’ve never heard of Kirill Yeskov, but I like a good reimagining of a classic text.
Yeah. I mean I enjoy Paradise Lost.
I would have used eowyn vs the witch king saying that no chromium browser can stop its ads… Revealing firefox with ublock as the sword.
