Well-said
I already mentioned multiple times that the assumption that I’m christian is presumptuous.
you remember that if you don’t do what we say, you’re gonna be tortured even after death.
Not at all what it is portraying. I don’t even understand how you get to that conclusion.
It were the priests that didn’t believe Jesus was telling the truth that killed him. Humanity killed him. Not God.

Nice assumption of me being Christian.
The cross symbolizes the sacrifice. Nobody celebrates his death, it is only the fact that he saved humanity with his sacrifice that gets celebrated, and the cross symbolizes this sacrifice.
The cross is a constant reminder of what Jesus went through to save you. The only feeling it is meant to evoke is thankfulness to Jesus and a reminder of how much suffering he saved you from.
I’m just trying to explain what christians believe, because it is getting misrepresented here, causing distorted views on christianity.
Well… that’s what atheists made it about… When christians ‘celebrate’ his death, they don’t really celebrate his torture and death, but they celebrate the offer he made for the sins of humanity.

I don’t know what the reason is… I’m on a Pixel 9 Pro XL with GrapheneOS, also with Ironfox, I can load that page just fine… I turned off the private DNS in my Ironfox settings though, so that might be the reason it’s working for me… I had a lot of load problems in general if I had private DNS enabled.

I personally don’t use Proton Drive (yet), however, anything that starts supporting Linux is a good development.
Nice that you ignored about 90% of my comment.
I never said the jobs you mentioned are easy, that’s why you dont see me complaining about them earning too much.
You seem to think sport at such a high level is easy.
Almost every athlete started sporting when they were a kid, and it’s the passion and competitiveness they developed back then that is pushing them to reach top sport levels.
Yes, you are telling the kid inside them which started their whole journey to the top to not do what they want to do.
Regardless, it was a metaphorical comparison, I wasn’t calling them mental children.
That’s like telling a kid they can’t do what they love doing because their parents are bad people. You do you I guess. It’s not like those athletes have any other option other than not doing what they love.

Did you consider that they might be representing the nation and not the regime?
Then why weren’t you cheering for USAMNT?
No English person today calls it soccer. It’s football or in a worst case scenario association football.

Where are you from?
Oh shit we are talking about c/linuxsucks
Couldn’t even imagine that being a thing on Lemmy.
