Do banking apps work well? I used to be pretty into custom OSes on my phone (it was the cyanogen mod at the time, I believe?). But banking apps are notoriously bad with anything they deem non-“standard”…
I am considering switching phones (or rather, my phone is considering dying anytime soon and so I want to get ahead of it) and if any custom rom works well with banking apps and whatnot, how easy it would be to flash a new rom would definitely factor into my decision
After a while you need to stop caring about the overall plot (which is pretty interesting on its own, but that is like drip fed to you) and start enjoying the arcs individually. Usually the structure is that they get to a new island, get to know the inhabitants and their culture and individual characters, the crew finds a mystery, problem or conspiracy, and they help the inhabitants. Quite often there are also multi-island plots that tie up all the plots of each individual island.
Admittedly the solution is always inevitably “Luffy punches the bad guy really hard in the face” while the rest of the characters are usually busy punching the bad guy’s underlings, but since you end up liking both the main characters and the characters they meet in each island (and the relatively rare but much beloved recurring characters), you don’t mind it as much.
Yeah, I’m always surprised at how common the opinion “one piece gets good after 50 episodes” is. One piece was pretty fun from the very start to me. Later episodes actually get worse for me because of how much they drag. I had to switch over to One Pace in dressrosa because I thought the actual plot was amazing, but I couldn’t handle the pace of the actual show.
Those you mentioned are pretty family friendly, I think. I’d add GoodTimesWithScar, he’s pretty wholesome.
To add to this comment, I’m over 30 and still can’t resist binging a few episodes once in a while, particularly Mumbo Jumbo’s Redstone magic. Don’t feel the need to watch everyone. I usually stick with Mumbo Jumbo and then when someone else builds something really cool I hop onto their video and watch a few episodes, like when Scar built the death star, or then when Grian showed Scar his secret temple I went to watch him build it. (… I had significantly more free time at that time due to life circumstances)
I assume it works best when you see the things in front of you at least once, rather than just images, and I’ve never seen lava in real life

Unfortunately there really isn’t a viable option for most people. Maybe there are alternatives depending on your field and your geographical location (I know they use something else a lot in Germany), but for most people you’re really forced to use LinkedIn or you’re potentially doing a huge disservice to your career.
Which is the main source of hatred for LinkedIn: most people would rather not be using it but they stay there for their careers. Others use it as a platform to promote their crazy ideas, again in an effort to make them more employable or reach out to new professional connections. It’s a harsh world, but each of these insane posts makes that website a tiny bit more unbearable.
Boomer moment: I’m 30 but never got used to the feeling of modern smartphones against out ears. It’s terrible and I can never hear or be heard well enough. It’s to a point where I always answer in speakerphone or with headphones, facilitated by not answering the phone often. Recently I’ve been wishing to get an old phone-like accessory for my smartphone so I could do calls in a comfortable way.
… Then again, during covid I learned to answer phones around the lab on speakerphone, too, and these were classic-style phones. So maybe I’m a lost cause
Edit: old cellphones were fine, it’s just smartphones that have the worst possible shape and texture to hold them against my ear. Sadly, my parents still see that as the primary use for a phone.
