I would use something like this to measure water usage in combination with an presence sensor in the shower stall. Water flowing + someone present in shower stall = someone taking a shower.

I’m a Mac / Linux user and I was forced to use Windows 10 for a couple of hours today. What an absolute ridiculous piece of shit OS that is. I had forgotten how bad it was. Those few hours reawakened my burning hate for Windows. Everything feels convoluted, you are constantly fighting against the OS instead of working with it. Optical drive having read issues? Better freeze the entire GUI. Want to kill a process? haha, fuck you. At one point the frikkin’ task manager froze on me.

Built into iOS. It’s called “Find my Friends”. You can (temporarily) share your location with other iOS users. For example, if you’re going to a festival with friends you can set it to share locations for the duration of the event so you can always see where they are. You an also choose to permanently share your location with family members.

He wasn’t elected prime minister because we don’t vote for who gets to be prime minister. We vote for political parties. After the election the political parties have to form a coalition that has a majority of seats in the house.

Rob Jetten’s party (D66) was the biggest after the elections and it’s custom that the largest party will try to find coalition partners and that they will also supply the prime minister (which is usually the party leader) so it’s likely he will be PM but this isn’t necessarily the case.

Last election’s winner did not become the PM, he was too controversial a figure so none of the coalition partners wanted him to be PM. Instead they found a independent person to be the PM, one who wasn’t even a candidate.

That being said he will likely get the job, but it’s not a done deal yet.

I don’t understand how you expect the verification of a physical book to work. You’d have to scan/OCR the entire book to verify the signature.

Alternatively you could do a hash/signature per page to make verification of a single page easier.

The power supply only puts 5V on the appropriate pins, just like a computer would. Since there is no computer, the drive will do nothing. Even if the power supply has USB-power delivery it won’t actually supply a higher voltage until the device asks for it, and this device won’t.
