What about overthinking about everything

You can get USB Image Writer and make a bootable USB of Mint. So you can try it from the USB and even if you choose to install you can choose dual boot so when you turn on your computer you can choose the system you want.

I do this because Battlefied, it’s the only reason I have windows partition, but my day to day I am using Mint… and at work macOS…

People should give some Linux distro a try nlinux mint is easy to install and I think easy to use.

iOS biometrics is on the phone on an encrypted chip, and Face ID does not work if your eyes are closed… also if you press power 5 times it disable the face id unlock.

I normally disable root, so I don’t think su would work. Never tried, so maybe I am using it wrong.

Linux has a problem with distribution of binaries, and companies for profit doesn’t want to share source … and packages with only binaries have some dependencies problem… although Flatpak and Snap improved this A LOT…. But then would have GLPv3 in many dependencies and you cannot ship it with a “for profit” product.

This is the biggest hurdle for Linux “for profit” market for better apps. Also many Linux users are against the paid model, preferring open source. There is a cultural limitation to break the bubble

I think SteamOS is helping a lot to break this … but still Linux desktop need to have a cultural change specially on license model or binary stability to be able to have a better app availability
