Like Wallace and Gromit but instead of cheese it’s biscuits.

I have a modern fridge which is about 15 years old now. Simple digital control, multi zone temperature control, no radiator on the back, stainless steel. It was very expensive at the time but it keeps going and hasn’t required any maintenance other than occasionally cleaning the inside.

The fridge I had before this one was a cheap Beko and lasted less than two years.

  • I got annoyed the other day at work. I work in the offices of a factory. It’s 35 Celsius and a lot of hard working people are working next to large ovens and suffering from high heat. A couple of people on the office Teams channel started with comments like “given the temperature we will be organising some cold drinks and ice creams for the office staff”

I would like to see those people try and spend a day on the production lines in this heat.

  • I saw a video years ago where somebody was talking (with a translator) to a tribe, I forget where. He asked how do they count. They would point with one hand to the other hand. Once they’ve got to five they start pointing to other parts of the arm moving upwards. He then asked what if you need to count higher. They looked confused, why would they need to count higher.

For them they could exist without needing to count beyond teens.

Oh interesting. I wonder if that is why adverts, even in the 90’s, had silly accents.

I was watching some old British adverts a few weeks ago. I thought to myself that I don’t remembering them sounding the way they do. Might be what helped knock my local accent out of me.

Is this like the “queens voice” people used to put on when they answered the phone in the pre-mobile times? We used to laugh at my mum and dad for putting on a posh accent when answering the phone. I’m not aware of people doing that these days but perhaps they do

Running is what triggered it originally years ago. Ligament and cartilage problems I think it was. Could barely walk on it for 2 or 3 months after. I have to be very selective about the sport I do now. I helped a friend move house a few weeks ago and somehow that has messed it up again. But now I know what it is so I know when to stop and deal it it better. I miss being young!
