That’s not spending money right. It’s impossible to build anything competitive with RAM and storage priced the way they are.

It’s purely hypothetical, I built a stupid $2500 PC for playing OSRS because I like spending money on the wrong thing.
A nice console is what? 500? Last year I could have bought all new parts and likely meet the same performance or very close to a console. At $600 I think I easily exceed the performance.
Its a lot harder in 2025-26 because of RAM prices but I am confident you’re wrong on the cost thing.
You win on not having to build it and ease of use.
The idea of paying a subscription for something I already own to have a basic functionality is 100% unworkable for me. The last Xbox I owned was the OG box and I still have a PSX.
Going to have to push back on the not economically viable bit. Once you factor in not paying for online play and being able to pirate all your PC games it’s a much better deal.
He treated his “investigation” as if he was going after a big hardware company instead of a direct competitor in his space. It left a very bad taste in my mouth. Not to mention when LTT did implement changes and begin improving did he acknowledge after his insane takedown?
This is Lemmy, only hate comments about LTT will be tolerated /s

I ordered a pair of boots from Mexico, they were shipped with all of the correct paperwork and should not have been tariffed at all. It added ~$60 to the original cost of $170.
When you submit a tariff refund request they warn you multiple times that if your submission is rejected you will be charged $100 per submission. It can be rejected for making a mistake on the paperwork even if they find the tariff was applied incorrectly. I almost didn’t submit for it, and a lot of people won’t but I decided to risk it. That was a few months ago and I still haven’t heard back.
