Just like crocodiles. Back from the days before time, when there was no plastic to package the things, and this one dinosaur lives on to remind us of the possibilities we had.

I agree but disagree, so far as I’ve noticed, the only thing you really have control over, when raising little people to be big people, is if they do or don’t have trauma. Weirdly enough, they’re like their whole own person and mostly nothing like you, from day dot, and the bits that are like you, they’ll try to snuff out, because ew parents, lame, or something. Probably doesn’t help that I’m a massive goof. There’s no controlling, there’s just walking along side, and helping them with the hard bits. It’s pure chaos. My favourite thing.
Ooh, same. And I can viscerally feel the seats and dash etc. The weight of the wheel when you sit and bounce on the springy seats trying to turn the wheel from side to side, and it’s so heavy. The creaking squeak sound of the windows as you turn the handle. The great thunk of the door, with it’s steel weight and loud creak. My dad owned one of these for a small time when I was a kid, because he’s a car enthusiast. There were no seatbelts in the back, so us 3 kids thought it was hilarious to slide all the way to each side of the car (mostly uncontrollably, but with added emphasis) every time it turned a corner. Dad didn’t own the car long. No idea why. I remember him getting quite frustrated with us, but we were having so much fun we just laughed. I think he gave up on getting through to us. But don’t feel bad for poor Dad, he goes on to invest and enjoy some marvellous cars over the coming decades, including helping his son, the youngest of us all, become a race car driver, coincidentally, of an older car model.
Oooh. Damn. I’ve heard of a more serious version, that has a name, but I can’t remember it. Hopefully you haven’t inherited something serious. I have terrible cramping issues, I wish I had known how much magnesium helps, it’s essentially the conduit to which the electrical signals controlling your muscles ride around on. I have found magnesium glycenate to work best for me, there’s heaps of varieties. I hope you find one that helps, crossing my fingers for you!
My friend, up your magnesium!
You can become anything you want, with continual action towards the goal.
Getting older isn’t a real thing. Your outsides just get really crinkly from sleeping on them so much.
Gen x’er here, weren’t y’all like starting things in 1981…wouldn’t that make you comingup on a different decade? (I’ll take my rotten tomatoes now, high velocity please)
Nah, man, engage your spite, live to 100, curse them as you die. I believe in you.

To them I’d say, Define “nothing”, and then tell me that’s a constant.
Options is the key word. Options means no “one” has a monopoly.

I’m using boq and up, for ethical reasons, but I haven’t looked into their privacy or compatibility.

Does anyone really believe it was ever about protecting the kids? I thought it was super obvious it’s about mass surveillance. It’s so they can link a database of *exactly who is saying what. And then do something evil af with that info, yeah? It’s just being poorly framed as “protecting kids” so no one can object, then they look like they don’t “care about kids”. Even though there’s so much proof it doesn’t help kids. What would help kids is parents who are able to be with their kids, rather than have to work fingers to bone to just scrape by. They could do information packages for parents, informing them of the risks and how to mitigate, as has been done before. This empowers no one, even if you believe their whole diatribe.
Those are opinions, not facts. Opinions are not facts. That’s just what you think and feel, relevant only to you. Your opinion doesn’t shoot someone else’s opinion down, if they differ, that just means you disagree. If you disagree with someone, you come off douchey af if you try and tell them they’re wrong, because you have a different opinion. You are better off (as in you come across less douchey) if you just ask people about their opinions, if they differ to yours, because, that expands your ability to understand more about the world. If you stay in your own little echo chamber, and never step outside your comfort zone, your mind stays small.
But to answer your other question, I would not say “that sounds likely false” to someone, that instantly puts you on the defensive and I actually want to know, if someone has different information than me, or has formed a different opinion, I want to know why. If I know they’re definitely wrong, I ask questions that lead them to the conclusion, without having to say, you’ve been duped by propaganda, because if they aren’t capable of coming to that conclusion on their own, they won’t take it from me in another way, anyway. People don’t respond well to being told, straight up, they’re wrong, that’s not a way to discuss, and it doesn’t work to help people change their minds.
Why do people do this, just pull apart someone’s comment, dismiss and disregard everything they say. No questions. Just, bam bam bam, you’re wrong on all counts, because my opinion thinks you are wrong and my opinion is somehow more valid than yours. Do you talk to people like this irl. Wtf.

It’s multiple boats, from multiple countries and locations on aid missions, all converging to deliver humanitarian supplies to Gaza. The Italian dock workers have threatened to shut down the entirety of Europe if their boats or any boats in the flotilla is fired upon. Which will be interesting because that has happened, a drone has struck one boat so far, nobody has been harmed yet.
More minimalists vs … non minimalists? But it’s funnier to say women v men.
