I love being the only seeder for something only for the fact I can share it. The problem is, more people should be seeding it as well to preserve history.

People don’t use the correct terms when describing things. Linux users are very helpful, but some people are much more DIRECT and don’t want to hold your hand, just like the Arch community. Ask a dumb question, get a smart ass response. But still read all of them and then you will eventually find the solution to your problem.

I have been able to fix all the issues i had with linux after a few weeks of trial and error. Now i have linux running on several computers and things just work. When they don’t, you know there are 50 Ubuntu help threads to get you the information you need.

Have a windows issue? Good luck even getting windows to acknowledge the problem, let alone fix it.

Wine has saved my classic gaming expeirience. I was about to spend hundreds to get my old windows xp computer new hard drives and adapters for the IDE, etc.

Then i screwed around with wine and installed my first game and it plays better than windows. Linux for life!

I got banned from a reddit group because I didn’t state my post in the form of a question. Like some jeopardy shit.

I am new to linux Mint and mullvad had an update ready, so i clicked update. It just stayed downloading on 0% for like 5 minutes, so i remembered this ISN’T WINDOWS. So i opened terminal and sudo apt upgrade and Mullvad was updated and new version installed.

It’s weird how windows makes things looks easy, but then they don’t work well. Linux makes things look difficult, but it they work well.

I remember we started getting pins and pints on this stupid website for our anniversaries. I was at like year 7 or 8 and I was honestly stoked about the pin.

Now that I am out of retail and realized how they were manipulating me with those stupid prizes, I feel so dumb. Corporate America sucks.

I set up my home server, then realized my Internet is shit and my upload speeds can’t even steam 1 4k movie, let alone several at once.

I am not excited to triple my monthly Internet bill for better upload speeds, but it will have to happen soon.

It’s insanity. I had to upgrade my work laptop to windows 11 this week.

IT didn’t do their research and turns out our main software isn’t compatible with windows 11 at all. So i had to downgrade back to windows 10. When i did, photos don’t work and the microsoft store wont open.

Windows is such a horrible system, i have no idea why they made it so poorly. I could have installed any distro of linux and had it working well in less than 20 minutes. Upgrading to windows 11 took almost 2 hours and it still didn’t work.

Now IT has to scramble to find a solution before the 14th and we lose all security updates, which they are very concerned about. What a nightmare to be in IT.

People who have afforded to buy their neighbors candy in the past have always been awesome people.

I am not one of those people.

Yeah, it’s time for windows to die. My windows 10 computer i’m pretty sure everything on it would work on linux, so i’ll switch it over to Mint in a few weeks.

But Why?

The cat distribution system works in mysterious ways. I don’t have a cat, but when i worked in pet stores, i heard all the stories.

Now for me? It’s a dog distribution system cause i tend to find my puppies in the most odd circumstances and if i had left the place one minute earlier or later, i would never have gotten the awesome pup i have now.

This is just part of human nature. Some of us are able to say “hey this website is run by horrible people and I refuse to support it.” We leave and find other options and help them grow. We are in the minority.

Most people simply do not want to try something everyone else doesn’t use cause they don’t want to seem weird. Stupid societal norms.

I’ve always had a rough stomach and smoking helps a lot more than any other medications ive used. It works within a few minutes which is also much faster than other options.
