It’s a humiliating way to enter the galactic community. We would never live it down. But we could use some humbling. I’d accept the help.

I started with a Steam Deck. Now I’m running PopOS on my Framework 13 and Bazzite on a home theatre PC. I’ve had far fewer issues with them than any flavor of Windows.
I can’t go back. I won’t.
People don’t want to pay multiple thousands more for a color, when the manufacturer would rather enshittify their selection to save a buck.
“Hang on, you mean to tell me this fucker barely uses the internet or TV at all anymore and instead just reads books and watches old films on disc? Like real books, not ghost-written memoirs of our favorite elites?”
The McAllister’s are rich as hell. All their friends are too. The whole neighborhood went on vacation except that one old guy.

Being a good one is.
It probably means different things for different people, because like every other fandom, it’s kinda arbitrary.
I was kind of purist. I started with TOS, but TNG, DS9, and VOY were right then too. Didn’t care as much for Voyager, but it was ok. Skipped Enterprise completely. I have TAS but haven’t watched it. Actively disliked the Kelvin movies. I’ve missed all the new stuff because I don’t stream, except Lower Decks, which I find delightful. I’m gonna pick up Picard and SNW soon.
PC Load Letter? What the fuck does that mean?!
I’m not helpless with computers, but I am not a power user. I browse, game, watch videos, maintain an old mp3 collection, etc. I don’t really program.
I went with PopOS and it’s been perfectly fine. No issues or complaints to speak of.
I know they don’t look at me like that when I barge in.
I have so many high quality hex wrenches now from work. I do not want the cheap ones, but I still feel bad throwing them away.

Toilet paper is also for cleaning the seat and rim of the bowl, every single time. Bidets shouldn’t be amazing, but given traditional society, they certainly are.

Much obliged. Thank you.
There are rumors that the deaf are able to make good use of text based technologies.
Well, the nice thing is there are lots of people eager and waiting to let us all know when and precisely how, in elaborate detail, we are being dumb fucks ourselves.
Feedback is useful.
