  • Stay the hell away from Klarna

Definitely! Klarna is one of the few parties that won’t cooporate when a Dutch citizen gets government mandated debt settlement. All other debt agencies settle and freeze interests as the state takes control of the debtee’s finances but Klarna just stacks interests like there’s no tomorrow.

The idea behind the scheme is to have the debtee get their personal affairs in order, while an agency (ngo-like) takes care and control of all finances. You get like 50 eur to spend each week but this is also for groceries and all other savings are either used to settle debts, pay rent and other subscriptions and most subscriptions are cancelled with contracts being voided left and right.

It’s a very invasive, but very effective program. Klarna is, as a for-proft debt agency, not having any of it.

  • Most of the rest of the world will also be impressed by the top pic more than the bottom pic.

You won’t believe how many people want good health care over spiritual catharsis.

Good health care doesn’t take a bunch of money and a cunt in a rented, grounded (supposedly) jet. A dog and a beach is a pretty fuckin nice holiday or retirement goal

In case of phones, there’s less of a myriad of operating systems and libraries.

A typical Android app is (eventually) Java with some bundled dependencies and ties in to known system endpoints (for stuff like notifications and rendering graphics).

For windows these installers are usually responsible for getting the dependencies. Which is why some installers are enormous (and most installers of that size are web installers, so it looks smaller).

Docker is more aimed at developers and server deployment, you don’t usually use docker for desktop applications. This is the area where you want to skip inconsistencies between environments, especially if these are hard to debug.
