  • After I was on estrogen for a year or so, I had lost my refractory period, making multiple orgasms from stimulating the glans possible. On estrogen, orgasm isn’t a climax, it’s a cresting wave. So perhaps the issue is you’re treating orgasm as a one-and done situation, when on estrogen you really want to have orgasms regularly?

Maybe your body doesn’t want your first orgasm to be some high intensity railing, but something more preparatory. Like the orgasms someone on estrogen with a vagina has while eating them out before you even start thinking about penetration.

You could try masturbating while visualizing it, and try to listen to your body for answers. If my hypothesis is correct, a useful question would be “Could you continue after an orgasm?”. Or more concretely, when you orgasm while imagining orgasming from getting oral, does it feel pleasurable to continue masturbating and imagine switching to a different position and keeping going?

I don’t know what your situation is so this is a pretty narrow shot in the dark. Hope it helps!

  • Water doesn’t have to be the thing that brings variation. Titan has a methane “hydrology” with clouds, rivers, valleys, and beaches whose sand is made of ice. On Triton, ammonia cryovulcanism powered by tidal forces from Neptune create plains with ammonnia snowfall, ice mountain ranges, and underground lakes. On Miranda, the planet is ice, but there are massive terrain differences from 10 km cliffs to flatlands. Io has a massive variety of volcanic planes with color differences visible from space because of their entirely different chemical compositions. The turbulent atmosphere of Jupiter is streaks of water vapor clouds, upwellings from deep beneath the surface, cyclones and massive pressure drops that dent the atmosphere inward by kilometers, with ionosphere above and gas as dense as water below. Even an atmosphere-less grey rock like Mercury has basalt plains, craters, ridges, highlands and dust plains.

In No Man’s Sky, many planets have life, which requires complex chemistry being possible at the temperatures the planet has using the chemicals that are available on that planet. This then naturally creates temperatures that are “too cold” for that life and “too warm” for that life, and complex adaptations made by that life to take resources from places that get “too cold” or “too warm” with less risk of predation or competition. Similar adaptation is possible to other extremes/variations, such as “submerged”, “on land”, “flying”, “too dry”, “too few nutrients”, “too acidic”, “too basic”, “too steep”, “cave”, etc. And thus we get complex biospheres that vary across the planet.

What if you worked an entire day less, or quit one of your jobs? Maybe the savings from groceries wouldn’t quite make up for it, but you would have the rest of the day to fill the rest of the shortfall. I can’t imagine your medical expenses are looking great with all the stress you must be under, maybe 10 hours of simple rest would be enough.

How rich are you that $20 in savings isn’t worth 30 minutes cooking time? That’s $40 per hour after tax, which if you work full time puts you in the top 20% richest Americans.

Even if you can’t share appliances with friends or neighbors, a stove, pan, microwave, and fridge combined cost only a couple months’ profit up front. Save up $400 one time and in five years you’ll have $5000 more than if you keep buying takeout.

(I’m assuming you cook for multiple meals at once and put the remainder in the fridge/freezer)

  • Skill issue, legitimately. If you don’t understand how you can discount that kind of slaughter, you’re probably already doing it.

That said, disregarding the obvious evil of massacring over a hundred children, for civilian deaths from bombardment to be a war crime, it has to be the deliberate targeting of civilians. Mistaking a civilian building for a military one and bombing it is not a war crime. Killing civilians while using the most accurate means available to aim at military targets is not a war crime.

War crimes were codified by western nations using western standards for what sort of behavior is sportsmanlike in warfare, with those standards informed by the sort of horrors those nations tend to commit.

Like with regular crime, we should get used to not using “crime” as a word to denote moral judgument. It’s just a word for doing something the state doesn’t like. All good people are criminals.

It’s not a man’s job to go into dangerous situations, dangerous situations are not always more dangerous for women than for men, and situations that are “more dangerous for women” than “for men” aren’t always more dangerous for a specific woman than for a specific man.

It’s not gender roles, it’s a request based on specific circumstances that is voluntarily granted. The woman could go herself and it wouldn’t be inappropriate. The man could refuse and it wouldn’t be inappropriate. The situation could be more dangerous for the man (e.g. if she’s white and he’s latino and ICE are in town) and it wouldn’t be emasculating.

In this case, the logic favors the man taking the risk. Because we live in a patriarchal society, the logic often favors the man taking the risk. Even in an egalitarian society the forms of risk might match up with physiological differences in a way that causes the logic to statistically favor people of one gender taking the risk.

The important part is that it’s free association, not roles. The notion that people should be equal and “colorblind” is an intentionally malicious neoliberal reading of social justice intended to dismiss a generation of minority activists as “disciminatory in the opposite way” and to serve as an excuse to deregulate protections for women and minorities. Something that we should all unlearn ASAP so we can see each other as human beings and help each other.
