And she had a chance to communicate her frustrations without making an ultimatum.

That he immediately dismissed her and only talked of himself makes it clear that he’s an uncaring narcissist.

That she immediately issued an ultimatum instead of trying to open a productive dialogue about it more strongly suggests that she’s the uncaring narcissist. Ultimatums aren’t healthy.

Maybe, maybe not. It could be that he’s actually neglecting her for video games. It could be that her idea of “neglect” is any time at all pursuing his own hobbies. Both scenarios occur, I don’t think it’s reasonable to say this “strongly” suggests one in particular.

I wouldn’t say never. Attraction potential can change drastically over time. Maybe it would cost you everything today, but not after a year of self-improvement: diet, exercise, hobbies, hygiene, etc.

Hell, even time by itself might be enough to shift the other person’s values. Maybe today they just want to party and have casual sex with hot strangers, but in a year or two they might want a serious relationship with someone they trust.

All big “maybes”, but to ignore them is a bit reductionist. People are complicated.

I mean, it unlocked big ideas earlier than most people, and I got a head start on serious critical thinking, which has shaped my life in many positive ways. But it didn’t, like, directly lead to financial prosperity. Honestly it probably hampered it because I had too much context to exploit others with a clear conscience way before I had the means to do so at scale.

“Reading level” is more about literary comprehension than technical understanding. And embracing baser modes of expression has only made it easier to effectively communicate.

Above-average reading level is only really helpful long-term if you specialize in literature.
