yeah, my first boot into KDE Plasma (technically Linux Mint/ Cinnamon) brought me the strange inner peace that i am now used to when I decided to try Windows vista on an old PC (at least the first few minutes, you really can’t do anything without a graphics card).

You could try rnote and xournalpp for PDF annotation. It works pretty well in my expeience for handwriting. I’d reccommend rnote over xournalpp since it can directly save to pdf (iirc), and you can also have an infinite canvas, so it would also be a good OneNote replacement in that department. For popup notes, inline text and stuff, okular from KDE works pretty well for me, but I have also heard good things about the GNOME pdf viewer (UI wise). Haven’t used the GNOME pdf viewer though, so can’t attest to features.

I must have had rotten luck because whenever I updated Windows, it would never shut down for me. Eventually, I just stopped using ‘update and shut down’.

Wouldn’t that still be digital though? Just not on your computer and not in your direct control?

same here. Making my Tamil more fluent made my English worse. Learning French made both worse. Using English more made my French worse, trying to pick it up again made both worse again 😂

Most definitely! I just was kind of surprised to learn that they made PDAs as well.

I think (I may be wrong here) that Debian wild be good enough for beginners. Their stable branch is, well… stable, and i didn’t run into that many issues (I think it would only be when you want to run stuff that isn’t either a flatpak or in the repos, like i tried to do with howdy). Testing would also be good ,but expect a few issues.

I think endeavor OS could also do well. in my experience, the install process was easy, kinda like Debian (the first distro I installed). Dare I say it is easier than (or maybe slightly comparable to) Arch with archinstall?

This might be me being kind of pedantic, but this might actually be adwaita instead of LO. I’ve noticed on RNote (a GTK app that uses adwaita), that the save icon is as you described, whereas on KDE’s breeze and oxygen icon themes (and I’m sure many others), the save icon is still a floppy.

I’d also recommend the A series (I got recommended the A1 from a friend when I was starting out), and it’s been pretty great so far. As for the slicers, I know you can use OrcaSlicer with Bambu printers (as well as with a ton of others too)
