Who’s the person walking in on the far right?
Probably also worth mentioning that the Sears catalog was huge. Like not quite phone book thick but still a couple hundred pages.

We are talking about software built by, in many cases, volunteers. The only way it will get better, or good enough for the average person, is if those who can help do so. The only real alternative in practice is open source the way IBM, Google, and Oracle do it, and they wouldn’t do that anyway if the volunteers didn’t exist.

You could always move it and submit a pull request. That is one of the beauties of open source!

This is true of pretty much all software. So many people expect to be able to pick up LibreOffice office and use it like they use MS office and then get immediately irritated the button doesn’t look exactly the same and give up.
That’s far higher than the $35,500/yr I found in census info, where did you get that number?
In the mean time I have been unemployed for 20 months and I have 15 years of experience. Nobody is getting hired right now. It’s nuts.
And yet it’s still 2 months of median income in the US.

AMD’s version is called Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT). But just about everyone, even most motherboard firmware that I have seen, calls it hyperthreading still.
Every modem that also has a phone line has a battery in it by law in the US. This is so the phone line will stay up in a power outage. So they’re actually more suburban people than you would think who’ve got the whole package of cable, phone, and Internet who’s WiFi will stay on for several hours after the power goes out.
All the best stuff was wood paneled!
I remember when we upgraded to cable and I had to get a box for the TV in my room that only had the VHF/UHF input.
Looked like this:

I remember when 480p was called Enhanced Definition.
I still have a widescreen ED CRT with an HDMI port in the garage, it’s the best Wii screen ever made.

Trespassing, disturbing the peace, criminal mischief, there’s a lot of laws that can cover this one and that’s before you even start talking about ‘creative’ police and DAs.
I mean… you should put the lid (not just the seat) down before you flush every time regardless to reduce the airborne particles.
The rapture actually happened in 2016 but only Harambe, David Bowie, and Alan Rickman were taken.
As a Native American I have always been somewhat amused by claims of ancestral heritage to the land and such. But my limited understanding of this is that the British spent some decades prior to WWII allowing the sale of large parcels of Palestine’s land to private parties and this land was then consolidated into the first state of Israel. Thus they were able to claim that they didn’t steal the land, but the duplicity is obvious. For starters I am still confused as to what gave Britain the right to sale the land in the first place.
