MINIX isn’t technically Linux, but I’m including it for fun. And Ubuntu was by far the longest stretch. Probably close to 15 years on that one.
It also has support for discovery through labels/annotations
Best stack I’ve seen so far is Yubal + Navidrome + Tempo. If you don’t mind paying for your client then Symfonium is hard to beat.
I have a simple slow model running on CPU in my cluster for karakeep. I’ve tried running a variety of models on my 7900XT but even with 16GB their performance just isn’t there. My new work m5 Mac book with 48GB of ram is the first time I’ve seen usable performance for local models and it has been pretty impressive.
This is really great, especially as a jumping off point. You might consider a ranked approach, like good, better, best. Most marginally privacy conscious services are going to be better than their Google analog, but some are better.
Take a look at towonel. It’s relatively new, but very promising. I plan to migrate to it from cloudflare.
Exactly why prototypes should always bake in limitations and problems. Otherwise management will just say “good enough”
I’ve been running it for a while now and it is really good. The annoying bit is that you have to roll your own import flow to get your portfolio data in. And many brokerages do not make it easy to get that data in a reasonable format.
How about Immich then?

As is most FOSS software. I’m not sure what point you are trying to make. GadgetBridge is actively working on the feature and I’m genuinely excited about it.
It will be even better once gadgetbridge finishes support for sending to endurain. Then we won’t even need Garmin!
I didn’t realize there was a Doom package for NextCloud. I’m not even sure why I was surprised.
I’m currently using NextCloud + Davx5 + Tasks.org and am quite satisfied. I think it supports basically everything you are asking for. I’ve also toyed with jtx Board but Tasks.org felt cleaner. I always manage my tasks on my phone, but I know the tasks show up in Thunderbird desktop. Not sure about the functionality though.
I’ve used it for a few years and it is an excellent application. I used Synology Photos for about a day before moving on.
Loyalty to a brand or company never made sense to me. Its a relationship or a contract. As soon as they start breaking that contract screw em.
I’ve used so many over the years. Sublime was really cool for a bit. Notepad++ and UltraEdit look like ass but they were both daily drivers for a long time. These days I bounce between codium and vim throughout the day. I kinda hate codium/vscode but I use it for the same reason I’ve used vim for so long: it’s functional and available everywhere.
I should really give one of the newer vim clones a closer look one of these days.
