I used to go for cumming as well. Now I just enjoy the ride. It takes 30min or an hour to cum? That’s fine. It’s more time I could enjoy myself. I found it liberating to focus more on the journey rather than the finish. It also made me capable of finishing more and more frequent (not that I recommend my 4-8h journeys)

I found it a great way to learn what the different components are actually for and how they interconnect/interact. But honestly, I would not use it as a daily driver again. I’m tired of fixing everything afer each update.
Went to Fedora, good and stable. Tried some OpenSUSE, nice and European. Settled with MX Linux. Ticked all the boxes, best Linux experience so far.
I’m in the process of updating m homelab. Threw out the qnap nas, replaced it with a homebuild nas on Truenas (4x8TB HDD, 4x1TB SSD). Replacing my ubiquity edgerouter pro 8p with a Mikrotik hEX refresh. About a 10x speedup for throughput, 20x smaller, 1/4 power consumption. Next I’ll be looking to replace my edgeswitches. I can run them stand alone, so there’s no rush.
I am not going to buy myself deeper into ubiquity. I’ll just try to optimize for the current needs.
If you want true foss, run pfsense or opsense on your own hardware.
