As a fellow Southern California native, I’m now extra intrigued that you consider California Burrito to be fusion. I’ve lived in San Diego for over 40 years and have always considered it local cuisine, the fusion aspect never crossed my mind.

Also, California burritos are fusion? Burrito is a Californian invention, and French fries are pretty American (sorry Belgium).

Edit: apparently I’m mistaken. I was under the impression that burritos were an invention of the California Gold Rush (distinct from tacos and using flour & lard tortillas).

I once thought this was a good thing that meant I was safe and well taken care of while being treated as family. Then I realized this also applied to all of the people who were genuinely terrible at their jobs, making horrible decisions for the company, affecting not just my ability to do good work, but the company’s ability to provide. Nobody ever got fired and bad managers got promoted because nobody was ever critical of them. The rot spread and the company never reached the heights of their earliest success.

It’s a PC Console for people who DON’T like PCs.

I want one because I don’t have a modern PC that can run games. I have a PS5, Switch 2, and a MacBook. I hate windows, I don’t want to deal with Linux or assembling a PC from components. I’m missing out on a lot of Steam games that I want to play. I don’t want to sit in my office and play games, I want to relax on my couch in my living room and play them.

This is for people like me. There’s a lot of us. We’re the ones that find piracy too much effort so we keep giving money to streaming services.

How did this come to be? All the pride events I’m aware of are during the summer months, which I had always assumed was related to the ability to wear as close to zero clothing as possible.

It’s not just the obsoleteness of it, it’s the fact that any device that is on the other end of the TV’s HDMI cable would need to be actively routing internet traffic into the HDMI connection. What device would do that? Any device that’s using the TV as output for itself has no reason to also include network access.

It also gives them a free tax write off that’s specifically designed for you to not be able to claim.
