  • Colombia to cancel free trade deal with Israel, “reform” treaty with US [Adriaan Alsema | SEP 30 2025 | colombiareports.com]

    (Image: President’s Office)

Colombia’s President Gustavo Petro said Monday that his government will end its free trade agreement with Israel and seeks to revise the one with the United States.

Petro made the announcement during a cabinet meeting amid rapidly deteriorating tensions with its former partners over Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza, which is largely sponsored by the US. The announcement came shortly after an open letter by the Colombo-American Chamber of Commerce, which said that 500 businessmen distanced themselves from the president’s opposition to the genocide.

According to Petro, the “pro-gringo” businessmen failed to understand that life comes before trade.

“Trade is not more important than life, as the 500 pro-gringo businessmen, who are not Colombian or do not appear to be, would have us believe. They are more interested in exporting trinkets to the United States than in preserving life on the planet.” – President Gustavo Petro

“We are not the kind of business that bows down to greed and that means we will also reform the FTA and that means we will no longer have an FTA,” said the president.

Consequently, “the coal companies that export [to Israel] must fold or sell their concessions,” said Petro.

US says they’ll revoke visa of Colombia’s president for call on US soldiers to disobey Trump

Apart from ending the free trade deal with Israel and seeking changes in the treaty with the US, Petro ordered the ministers of trade and transport, to prioritize road infrastructure projects that would allow increased trade with the rest of South America.

“We had the most powerful international trade agreement with the Andean Pact. And now the political satraps come out and say that it is with the United States. When was that the case? Our industrial goods were sold to Venezuela and Ecuador. There was always food trade in the Andean Pact. Why did we abandon the Andean Pact? To prioritize a free trade agreement with the United States that hurts us.” – President Gustavo Petro

The president additionally ordered his foreign minister, Rosa Villavicencio, to replace the personnel at the Colombian embassy to Beijing, claiming that his attempts to strengthen ties with China were being sabotaged.

The government began improving trade relations with China earlier this year in response to an apparent trade war on the rest of the world declared by Trump after taking office.[1]

  • For those interested in learning about Operation Paperclip:

Although he officially sanctioned the operation, President Harry Truman forbade the agency from recruiting any Nazi members or active Nazi supporters. Nevertheless, officials within the JIOA and Office of Strategic Services (OSS)—the forerunner to the CIA—bypassed this directive by eliminating or whitewashing incriminating evidence of possible war crimes from the scientists’ records, believing their intelligence to be crucial to the country’s postwar efforts.

Although defenders of the clandestine operation argue that the balance of power could have easily shifted to the Soviet Union during the Cold War if these Nazi scientists were not brought to the United States, opponents point to the ethical cost of ignoring their abhorrent war crimes without punishment or accountability.[1]

I just posted a video of Annie Jacobsen talking about Nuclear War, she also wrote a book about Operation Paperclip.[2]

In the days and weeks after Germany’s surrender, American troops combed the European countryside in search of hidden caches of weaponry to collect. They came across facets of the Nazi war machine that the top brass were shocked to see, writer Annie Jacobsen told NPR’s All Things Considered in 2014. Jacobson wrote about both the mission and the scientists in her book, Operation Paperclip: The Secret Intelligence Program That Brought Nazi Scientists To America.

“One example was they had no idea that Hitler had created this whole arsenal of nerve agents,” Jacobsen says. “They had no idea that Hitler was working on a bubonic plague weapon. That is really where Paperclip began, which was suddenly the Pentagon realizing, ‘Wait a minute, we need these weapons for ourselves.’"[3]

    Darkest Dungeon | 2016 video game | darkestdungeon.com

Darkest Dungeon is a roguelike role-playing video game developed and published by Red Hook Studios. The game was first released for Microsoft Windows and OS X in January 2016, which followed a year-long early access development period. Later that year, it was released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Linux, with a port for iOS being released in 2017, and ports for Nintendo Switch and Xbox One being released by 2018. Darkest Dungeon has the player manage a roster of heroes to explore dungeons below a gothic mansion the player has inherited. Played out in a mix of real-time movement and turn-based combat, a core feature of Darkest Dungeon is the stress level of each hero that increases with further exploration and combat; a character sustaining a high-stress level may gain afflictions that will hamper, or possibly enhance, their performance as an explorer. The Stress Symbol, or Iron Crown, a crescent with five inward-facing spikes, is also in the game’s logo.

  • Edit:

    • wording was corrected and grammer/format as well
    • improved wording and phrasing, a bit

    Great feature, but no!

Generally I make sure to take enough pics to have an idea of the area I was in.

In addition , I also carry a small note pad, to write down cords., so that I may frequent said areas in the future.

Another option, is to manually pin locations on an open source apk map; this device of choice, would have limited network connections and any data saved would be encrypted.
