  • That’s a fair point to bring up. You’re right that it is an investment that has paid for itself in terms of a streaming service. Much better than hooking a laptop up to a TV and playing files directly, forgetting which episode you are on, or where you stopped watching a movie when you want to resume.

My thought with Jellyfin is that I don’t generally watch outside my home network. I have sent invites to friends to watch my library, but none do. So most of the features I don’t use at all. I could have saved myself the money, learned how Jellyfin works, and probably set it up exactly how I currently use Plex by now.

  • I juat watched the original dragonball recently. It was weird how the animal people seem completely absent in later series. They add a sort of je ne sais quoi that makes the original series hold up.

If you ignore the objectification of Bulma who is a teenager, that is. It seemed like every other episode Roshi was trying to be a perv on her.

  • I haven’t given them anything and have been using desktop for almost 3 years now. I run Ubuntu server at work without any issues either. I signed up for pro for free on my home desktop and didnt have to pay anything.

Where do they attempt to get money from me? Asking because I’m legitimately not sure.

  • I think that in a society like ours where sex is shamed by some groups, there is absolutely a need to break that paradigm and make sex a positive thing. You won’t find me arguing puritan values.

What I stated is that some people -do- struggle to control themselves. Masterbation by itself is not problematic, but based on what I’ve read, superstimuli like pornography can dampen the response to normal stimulus (eg. real sex). Our brains are complicated and neuroscience is not well understood in this area.

I’d encourage you to read some of the scientific papers linked on the site and make your own conclusions. I’ve also read papers from the opposite perspective. Both make very good points.
