  • I hear that a lot but I got a new e14 amd on special it was so cheap. It’s not the most powerful but i put 32gbs of ram and a 2tb nvme in it runs arch on it and its a cool little machine.

    The ram and the hard drive cost more than the laptop. Would I have bought this thing for retail? Prob not, I resent giving money to Lenovo directly.



  • Pure arch is fine, don’t let internet idiots scare you. Just archinstall it, you don’t have to do a manual install. I reckon have a crack at a manual install for learning purposes if your curious.

    I had a look at cachy in a VM it seems very similar to me. I used that Shelly gui thing I kind of like it but every now and then I like to manually install the vulnerabilities directly from AUR and npm.
