Can you switch to IPv6? My ISP NATs me on IPv4 but I’m clear through on IPv6 and so that’s how I run everything.
I’m assuming the NAT is your ISP’s, if it’s yours then ignore me.

I was gonna say, no way their memory estimate is anywhere near real world for some of those. This feels quite useless because “using the apps will blow past the floor” is some real “draw the rest of the owl”.
Especially since they said this was inspired by beginners not knowing what they can actually run on what, this is gonna get them way underestimating what they need
If you just ignore the MCU movies…
She clearly hasn’t watched “Across the Spiderverse” then
Does Garuda Linux play “Sandstorm” every time you boot it?
Edit: no wait, crap, it’s Darude isn’t it.

I don’t remember this scene in Shaolin Soccer. Might be time for a rewatch…
Yeah…I miss when I had a full home theatre in my basement for that exact reason. I basically only go now if I can splurge for the VIP seats or I know it’s gonna be an empty theatre. So basically never.
Yeah, you eat all the snacks during the previews so you don’t make excessive noise and disturb others during the actual film

Just alias whatever to “off”
I mean it changes. Right now I’d look at GE still but I haven’t had to look in a few years. No fridges with ice makers because those are just added complexity that is more likely to fail. Definitely not Samsung.
Tell your friends to actually do a bit of research on expensive purchases. I’ve helped three relatives replace their fridges with relatively cheap models and five years in they’re still running

I think it’s a good idea but implementing it well would take massive amounts of effort. That kind of project management is a beast in and of itself.
A big hurdle I see is how do you handle quality vs quantity? Who will be selecting the projects in order to stop someone creating twenty “open-source” projects and spamming merges they accept themself?
If you’re going off financial donations to projects you need to make sure of the same thing. You’ll need to balance rewards for total amount contributed vs time (like consistently for a year vs all in one month). You’ll need to keep in mind that some will give everything they can and won’t want to feel left in the dust just because someone else could drop daddy’s credit card. Even though getting contributions is the goal you’ll want it to feel rewarding at every level of contribution.
If you’re going for in game items you’d need to make the game actually a solid and unique game otherwise someone will just use AI, rip it off, and spin up competitors and the whole thing will fizzle as everyone in all the little spinoffs won’t feel a community. It’s the kind of thing where concentration of users will be major.
And that’s without even thinking about advertising the project or actually developing it. Just the rewards.

All I’ll say before moving on is legitimately you should maybe go touch grass.
Neural network does not mean LLM. I’m strongly against them for so many reasons. This is the problem with calling it all AI. My stuff was not generative, it was pattern recognition for a safety program for testing so companies could be held accountable.
Just step outside and smell the roses before you have a heart attack.

Such a strong science backed rebuttal.
I’m gonna go rethink my entire life now.
Being aware of the numerous massive lawsuits currently being levied against AI companies for their theft, reading research papers on cognitive decline in AI users, and being aware of where the majority of energy in the US comes from, especially for new AI datacenters, really does have a cognitive impact, but it isn’t decline.

Bro whatever you’re smoking please share.
