I’ve always loved this painting, because it looks like he’s flipping off of God while he tells the guy in red everything that he hates about him personally. His friends behind red, are trying to get him to go home because he’s drunk and causing a scene, and the two guys in back it just came to watch the drama when they heard commotion. The bartender, who still has his tab open, is handing him another drink.

I think I subconsciously added the ‘boring’ part simply to make clear the fact that I didn’t consider the ‘straight cis’ part to be in any way superior, like a title of prestige or anything. I dream of the day when this sort of thing is put in the same category as learning that someone is left-handed. It’s a point of notice given the rarity, but it will never change someone’s opinion of you after learning that. No accommodations really need to be made at this point, because the fraction of the population that is left-handed has long since been accounted for and designed around. The most complete level of acceptance that can be reached for any concept is when it can be safely ignored while still acknowledging that it exists. I feel like we’re nearly there with gay people, in that, it’s something that can be mentioned without changing your tone of voice at the office. There’s clearly still work to do though, and I’m glad to help out however I’m able. You just keep being you.

Not quite sure what your concern is with the top fill pattern. It is a load-bearing part, so it kind of needs to be the way it is to retain the part coming out the other side. As far as the extruder exiting the perimeter of the model, I would remind you of the possibility of printing more than one model on a build plate. Although, I hadn’t yet considered trying to print only one to see if it still happens, as a troubleshooting approach. I’ll try that later, to rule out the possibility that it’s being mechanically pulled off by an extruder transport move.

I’d considered raising the temperature a little to get the perimeter to stick better to its neighbor, but I wasn’t sure if hotter printing would worsen the thermal contraction, which is what I was originally suspecting was happening. Nothing ever pulls off from an outer perimeter, it’s only inner perimeters of empty loops or holes.
