I hate to ruin everybody’s fun, but seeing an edit of this image presented in the context of jokey fun is disrespectful to what it actually represents. The original depicts segregation, with “heathen” instead being “white” and “christians” instead being a racial slur for Japanese people.
I would have been fine with an edit of the image if it simply swapped the words around, meaning it was still about anti-Asian segregation in the US, but this completely erases that original meaning.
