Are you sure about that? I see Copyright at the bottom (maybe the name) and is free only for personal tier, everything else costs money. Maybe some of the containers are open source per https://www.docker.com/products/trusted-content/open-source/ but I don’t see where it says anywhere that the actual software that is docker is OSS let alone FOSS.

To piggy back on JMP.chat, pair it with Snikket (usually paying for jmp gets you a free Snikket acct) and you can use that with Cheogram app if you want calling capability.

It sounds convoluted, but jmp provides the number, Snikket is your “service” (XMPP), and Cheogram is the app/UI to use the service.

It’s my primary number now. It works well. If I’m not at home or work for WiFi, I just hotspot my work phone (unlimited data) and connect since it’s technically over WiFi only unless you have a carrier-which I do not) but with jmp I picked a citation number and have 0 spam calls in 6+months, so I’m a happy camper.

If anyone cares, I run Proton VPN with kill switch on any network as to obscure my connection, and it d call quality. I do have custom VPN settings to work more locally and custom DNS, but YMMV.

I choose Podman bc it’s open source and that’s kind of the reason for using everything as a container bc those are often also open source. Fuck docker

I have around 130TB redundant and it wouldn’t equate to Netflix. Though I store in higher quality than most, but you’d need low quality like 720p utilizing h.265 or AV1 to save space to hold all that. Likely anything you download would be h.264 so you’d need to convert all that media too.

But if you’re not running multiple tabs, or in private tab view, and you’re not allowing most or any cookies, then they’re going to have a harder time following what you do and where you go.

1. Use a solid VPN
2. Use Firefox derivative (Waterfox and Libre Wolf, feel free to use multiple to separate tracking)
3. Use pivate tab mode
4. Use Privacy Badger (EFF)
5. Use Port Authority (highly rated port scan blocker to block network port scanning from LexisNexis)
6. Close unused tabs
7. Clear cache and cookies on exit
8. Disable unused network stuff (WiFi and/or data, GPS, BT, NFC, anything that’s not required that could be used for location scanning)
9. On Android 15+ iirc, disabled mic and/or camera permissions until necessary. Most people don’t talk on the phone anymore so it’s rare you need the mic (unblock for camera)

Having a unique fingerprint I swear is just a way to scare people into compliance. Unique doesn’t always mean known. Sure, it’s unique that they can’t track you so well. Oh no…

I feel if 1 out of 200 people had this unique fingerprint, it’d be hard to distinguish who’s actually who. No distinct way to really differentiate with such little data being allowed to be gathered.
