thats only if it actually downloads and installs. our enterprise windows installs like to take 5-10 attempts to actually get the software onto the computer. “Install failed. retry?”

sudo apt autoremove && sudo apt autopurge -y

That’s true and I hadn’t considered that. I’d still say they’re paying far too much.

That’s newer hardware than what i’ve got, and I know ram is expensive now, but I paid ~$100 USD for my thinkcenter M800 and it has been great.
Mine did not come with SSD though, and instead had a 3TB HHD.
time to switch to nixOS so you can perpetually tell whomever wants to have sex with you that you’ll be over just after you finish this config…

Only semi-related:

Are you really on Lemmy to advertise?
Fuck off.
I don’t know how up to date this is, because I haven’t used it in a while but it was helpful to me when I was first getting started: https://github.com/mikeroyal/Self-Hosting-Guide#getting-started-with-self-hosting
I ended up going with proxmox because you get all the features of proxmox, and you can use docker on it. So, best of both worlds. For some youtube resources, check out:
There is also https://landchad.net/ which has some useful info and tutorials.
Lastly, these final two aren’t guides per se, but have lots of useful resources:

I ran it for about 7 and a half minutes earlier. It’s a little slow to start but once I got used to the rhythm of things I really started to understand why it’s so popular.
Overall, I’d say I’m a fan.

Yes, some of us have good credit.

thanks! me too lol

same. There is one windows computer still in this house and it’s unplugged. Everything else is Linux, Android, or FreeBSD based.

I’ll have to look into it. 30GB isn’t bad at all. I think I have unlimited now with text and phone for only like $10 more a month. I’d have to look, it’s been a while since i’ve dealt with it.

I’m likely going to go to t-mobile as they’re cheap from what I understand and they make up a big part of the network that google leases, along with (i think) US Cellular, or something similar.
That said, I’ve got about a year to decide, unless someone decides to hire me and then I can pay my phone off early.
idk that asshole lives in the USA and bought a large portion of its government for personal gain before using that power to shut down global charities and government funded aid programs on a global scale. what do you mean what does he have to do with the USA?
