I believe firmly that everyone should have a fair shake and as much freedom as they can be afforded - so long as it does not encroach on the freedoms of others.

I feel that. Theres a strict requirement of fortitude in this industry. Fighting against an unknown bug/challenge is draining and requires admitting you lack knowledge and being willing to persevere in the face of a fruitless result. Shits hard and will beat you down if you let it.
In a shock to absolutely not a single person who has had to “hand craft” and maintain code… Its hard enough maintaining shit you wrote last week let alone adapting or collaborating on stuff you didn’t.
… so people who shit out recycled code from other people passed through a randomization algo are totally lost from step one. And easy come… easy go.
Oh I need to maintain this? Oh the magic box can’t do it? Technical debt?! Oh, I’m bored now… guess I’ll go inject my brilliance somewhere else.
If you have something you are recognized for… you will cling desperately to it. Comedian? Forever chasing their best show. Sports legends hanging around too long. Its pretty human to want recognition… even if part of it is genetics and youth. Time is the great equaliser.
In the end - if the odd rituals, diets, and surgery leaves them feeling happy… let them have it. Being pretty and famous is almost a monkeys paw. Sure, everyone ages - but you get to age on a pedestal. There initially for your broad appeal… and then on public display as everyone gets to get their shots in as that youthful glow fades. Ick. I wouldn’t want it to be me.
But the Problem I was facing was unique to the 10GbE Adapter. I used a 1GbE adapter before for years, without this issue.
Every home labber will eventually have that coming of age trial: ritual combat with the monster they have constructed. Glad to see you got the best of yours haha.
I find that outside of chasing diminishing returns - the biggest boost to upload speeds generally involves getting service that isn’t from spectrum or comcast.
The speeds you are suggesting seem to imply you are on some cable carrier. Be consciously aware that there is frequently fine print stating up to on your meager upload allotment. You may be optimising against unseen forces.
It looks like you put in some effort on tuning which is awesome - and hopefully is helpful to some as a starting point… but from experience tuning is often very unique to each individual setup. That said: kudos on drawing that much out of your setup.

The first time I read how to make thermite, smoke bombs, etc… I definitely was too young to fully work out the ramifications of my actions.
With that said: how many people ignore warnings that are clearly posted? That’s a human flaw. It’s not age gated. Needing to see for ourselves that the stove is hot sometimes is the only way we learn. Acknowledging this - does it mean we shouldn’t provide the knowledge because somone may do something stupid? I don’t believe that should be the case.
In short: people are going to do dumb shit - but I don’t think that means we need to over engineer the world to protect them from themselves.
Considering the other content he’s produced I’d say this guy at least understands pressure reasonably well. The crab reference is a nod to the scary shit pressure can do to … Living things. (There’s some really nsfl shit out there on the topic.)
I’d give him credit for explaining (frequently) how dangerous what he is doing is… and frankly his willingness to quite literally showcase what the result of the badness can be.
Too few channels do either. And there’s some wildly dangerous shit posted daily that is over-edited and rarely even touches on the very real dangers of what they showcase. It gives the illusion of safety to people who likely don’t understand the science / risks.
Considering how willingly he comments on the badness that can happen… And the fact he actually pressure tests his builds AND does the math … I’d say he’s a far cry from a company that pressure tests their builds with passengers. Live. Breifly.
I appreciate his content. Its interesting and hearkens back to old youtube content before it became a glorified ad stream. Its a dude doing a thing and taking you along for the ride. If you are entertained? Cool. If you learned something? So much the better.

Considering the edit I made after rereading it - I had difficulty determining if you were firing shots or describing yourself. Speed reading and eggnog mix about as well as one would expect. In short - I’m not here to pick a fight where there isn’t one.
I’m perfectly happy that my original interpretation was incorrect and will amend my comments as my edit suggested. I understand a lot of marginalized groups are frequently hurt and can lash out generically against the group that hurt them. Its not fun being included in that - which was the intent of my original statement.

I’ll admit I let out a pained chuckle while reading that. We all have at least one like that who, almost like a savant terrorist, can pick the worst time after being ‘just dangerous enough’ to inflict maximum pain for minimum effort. And then youre left with all that energy from exasperation just bouncing around inside.
