I had a MS teams meeting with a lab in Toronto in which we discussed very specific chemical compounds that were unusual. With 48 hours, everyone at that meeting got emails from a chemical synthesis company soliciting to sell us these compounds.

I raced in many forms of motorsports since I was 12, even worked a year in F1. I like reading about technological advancements. I could afford any car. I worked years in luxury cars before attending university. On public roads, cars are appliances to get from A to B. I want efficient and reliable. Speed is for tracks.
But since the 1920s, cars have been marketed as status symbols to society, to the point people regard them as an extension of who they are and how they want to be perceived. As such, there is an entire psychology thesis on what personality disorders drive certain vehicles. Stereotypes happen for good reasons. People see pickups, sports cars, SUVs, but you’re really seeing insecurity, narcissism, tribalism, even racism, and posturing. I saw the spreadsheets on financing and default rates enough to know most people are driving cars they cannot afford because it’s so damned important they make you think they can.

A reliable printer with three good tools would be the solution. The closest to that is still Snapmaker. I have no idea what Bambu was thinking with 1 1/2 heads, but until this industry figures out their shit, I’m not buying a multi tool head printer. I’m waiting on Creality because they promise to take TPU seriously, but they always underdeliver. Looks like number of toolheads is the new multi razor.

I came across The Newsroom with Jeff Daniels and Olivia Munn. HBO 2012-14. Munn is a much better actor than the shitty roles she has had since, but the show predicted the corporate takeover of US media and the subsequent enshittification of news. Scarily accurate, and in fact was too optimistic because the current shit show is much worse than they predicted would happen and they gave the IQ of the American public far too much credit.
