For things like phones, an IMEI is already a permenantly attached unique ID tied to the modem. There is also a hardcoded serial number in most electronic devices.

NixOS is great for granularity since everything is “reinstalled” every single time you change your configuration, and it’s extremely customizable. Fully declarative systems are a gamechanger IMO.

CachyOS is great for when you want a lot of pre-optimized software for your specific CPU archirecture, but you don’t want to compile everything.

Artix is great for when you want Arch minus systemd.

Alpine is great for when you want a very lightweight system, also without systemd, but also using musl instead of glibc.

I’m trying to figure out what the purpose of Nym is compared to a network like Tor or I2P. It seems to perform a symilar function, except it’s a paid product.

You could do client-side scanning instead while checking a signature of the client’s js to ensure that it is your code that’s running.

PipePipe has also been way more stable in my experience than NewPipe or Tubular.

Look into how to either enable OTG or host mode in your specific device. Sometimes the pmOS wiki has instructions on how to do so.

I’d be happy to make a PR as soon as there is officially supported hardware that supports microSD expansion.

It has always been an option to buy a used phone, immediately unlock the bootloader, and install GrapheneOS on it while avoiding installing Google apps entirely.

Then Google gets none of your money.
