Yes, thank you for this, motivated me to pull the drive only to find out to my confusion that it wasn’t there… mostly likely I was mounting a partition this entire time. Good news is that I have n 8-year-old 4TB and and 12-year-old 3TB I might as well consume.
lsblk is as low level as it gets, no? Anyway, gparted sees nothing either, nor does Mint’s Disks.
Driver issue? For a hard drive? Ok… Uh, so what do I install exactly?

Linux is my last stop for desktop computers. I’ll probably still always have one, but I’m transitioning to using mobile devices more. But for media storage and setup, I still can’t beat a desktop.

What? I thought Optane was a weird hybrid drive for mostly laptops I’m running a self-built desktop that’s over 10 years old with an MSI Mobo. I was just in settings because something else led me to think it might be a BIOS issue, but didn’t see any Optane.
But why would go from one-year-ago-Mint to today-Mint trigger any bios issues?
Just found out about the Twiddler 4–a single-handheld bluetooth keyboard. too damn expensive at over $200, but something I’d definitely try otherwise.
I thought it woud suck, but with the touch typing + consistent dictionary guessing, it’s really on par with the random chaos of a touchscreen keyboard.
Small production run + half-decent internals probably accounts for a lot of the price.
Having experimented with $100 underpowered flip phone on KaiOS, lack of apps was a real problem. What (some) people want is the slight inconvenience of a T9 keyboard and an annoyingly small screen to help them limit their screen time, but they still want full functionality of all their apps.
In that interpretation; the boss just agrees with what his company’s HR is putting out, so it would really be a non-meme…

Understanding references was part of the draw, too… if I keep seeing a reference to something, I want to watch it. The biggest problem is being unaware that something even is a reference. The Simpsons DVD commentary is eye-opening in that regard.

I haven’t noticed, but my grocery store recently limitted their cash back to $40, so you have to split your purchases into separate transactions until you have the cash you want.
And I guess that’s the opposite problem that for-profit products have, so desperate to maximize every marketing dollar that every fucking thing has the same name in it even if it’s a fundamentally different product.
