It was so weird to study in STEM and meet other Star Trek fans in the cantina. Now there is something wrong with Wesley Crusher and I’m supposed to hate him and project that on the child actor, too? And when Jeri Ryan is nice enough to come all the way to a European convention, they yell “strip”? (At least they were disgusted as well about the latter, just reported others doing it.)

For 2 years, I had to set up production environments on RHEL, mostly Apache and Keycloak servers. I had a limited, very specific list of sudo permissions, and I had to ask very specifically what I else needed, which was then granted by people who neither knew nor cared what I was working on.

SELinux permission problems were always the fallback reason when nothing else made sense. With my permissions, I could not just straight up check for it. E. g. Apache would not server a folder, cryptic error -> check file permissions -> check general Apache config problems -> assume SELinux permission is missing and request it, supplying the exact command they need to type.

lol, getting all displays working is indeed my biggest worry for my last Windows PC, migrating next month. It has both an NVIDIA and a Radeon GPU, and that works great on Windows. But a quick test boot from USB did not go so well on Ubuntu, so the truth will only come out after a real install with drivers.

The image is really misleading into exactly that.

I can really seen Gen V struggling. They wanted to make something shocking, dystopic, but as things develop, all they can do is be like: Oh, that thing, right, we got that too in our show!

I wonder what happened:

• staged / fake to imply option 2?
• actually expecting a child from the guy on the left, and proudly announcing it to her husband (mid) with this gesture?
• option 2, but only the husband (mid) knew, and he is announcing it to both
• option 2, everybody knows, but the parents didn’t know that the husband knows, which he is announcing herewith (only option that explains ALL facial expressions)
• wanted pink smoke, but device malfunctioned / wrong device?
• both: the child is from the guy on the left, but it was supposed to be a secret to the grave, foiled by the chatterbox smoke device?

I honestly don’t know.

Finally someone who appreciates him! I always noticed how his contribution is pretty impressive.
